Acceptance of Terms
By booking or using the services of Eddie The Mobile Mechanic (“we”, “us”, or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Services
We provide mobile vehicle repair, maintenance, diagnostic, roadside assistance, inspection, and related automotive services throughout Melbourne and surrounding areas.
All services are subject to vehicle accessibility, safety requirements, parts availability, and technician availability.
Quotes and Estimates
Any quote provided is an estimate based on the information available at the time.
Additional faults or repairs discovered during inspection may result in additional charges. We will seek approval before carrying out any additional work whenever reasonably possible.
Quotes are generally valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
Customer Responsibilities
Customers must:
* Provide accurate vehicle information.
* Ensure safe and legal access to the vehicle.
* Ensure the vehicle is located in a suitable working environment.
* Inform us of any known vehicle faults or previous repairs.
* Be authorised to approve repairs and associated costs.
We reserve the right to refuse service if working conditions are unsafe.
Parts and Materials
We may supply genuine, OEM, aftermarket, or reconditioned parts depending on customer preference and availability.
Parts warranties are subject to the manufacturer’s warranty terms and conditions.
Where customers supply their own parts, Eddie The Mobile Mechanic accepts no responsibility for defects, incorrect parts, labour costs associated with replacement, or consequential damage.
Payment Terms
Payment is due immediately upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We accept various payment methods including bank transfer, card payments, and other approved payment methods.
Failure to make payment may result in debt recovery action and recovery of associated costs.
Cancellations and Missed Appointments
We request a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for cancellations.
We reserve the right to charge a call-out fee for:
* Missed appointments.
* Late cancellations.
* Situations where the customer is unavailable upon arrival.
* Vehicles that cannot be accessed or serviced as arranged.
Warranty on Workmanship
We warrant our workmanship for a reasonable period in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
This warranty does not cover:
* Normal wear and tear.
* Customer-supplied parts.
* Pre-existing faults unrelated to our repairs.
* Damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, or unauthorised repairs by third parties.
Any warranty claim must be reported promptly.
Diagnostic Services
Vehicle diagnostics identify faults based on information available at the time of inspection.
Some faults may require further testing, dismantling, or specialist assessment.
Diagnostic fees are payable regardless of whether repairs proceed.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Eddie The Mobile Mechanic is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from the use of our services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights and remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
Roadside Assistance and Emergency Services
Response times are estimates only and may vary depending on traffic, weather conditions, technician availability, and location.
We do not guarantee immediate attendance.
Vehicle Storage and Security
Customers remain responsible for the security of their vehicle and personal belongings before, during, and after service.
Please remove valuables prior to our attendance.
Privacy
Any personal information collected will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Australian Consumer Law
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection legislation.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be published on our website.
