Eddie The Mobile Mechanic

Eddie The Mobile Mechanic provides a 24-month / 40,000 km warranty on eligible parts and workmanship, whichever occurs first from the invoice date. The warranty operates alongside the automatic consumer guarantees provided by Australian Consumer Law.

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Goods and services supplied to consumers come with automatic guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. These rights cannot be excluded, restricted or replaced by a voluntary warranty. A manufacturer, supplier or workmanship warranty operates in addition to those rights.

General information about warranties and consumer guarantees is available from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.

Workmanship coverage

Eligible workmanship is covered for 24 months or 40,000 km, whichever occurs first from the invoice date. If a concern appears to relate to completed work, contact Eddie promptly with the invoice details, vehicle registration, current symptoms and supporting photos or video when available.

Parts warranties

Eligible new parts are covered for 24 months or 40,000 km, whichever occurs first from the invoice date. Manufacturer or supplier conditions may also apply. A warranty decision may require inspection of the vehicle and return of the component to the supplier.

What may not be covered by an additional voluntary warranty

  • An unrelated or pre-existing fault
  • Normal wear and maintenance items
  • Damage caused by misuse, overheating, impact, contamination or continued driving after a warning sign
  • Customer-supplied parts unless coverage was agreed in writing
  • Work altered by another person after the repair

These examples do not limit any non-excludable rights available under Australian Consumer Law.

How to raise a warranty concern

  1. Use the contact page as soon as the concern is noticed.
  2. Provide the invoice number, registration and a clear description of the symptoms.
  3. Avoid continued driving if doing so could cause further damage or create a safety risk.
  4. Allow a reasonable opportunity for the vehicle and repair to be inspected.
  5. The appropriate next step will be explained after the cause and applicable coverage are assessed.

Clear terms before work begins

Customers receive an explanation of the proposed work and price before approved repairs begin. Ask about the specific parts and workmanship coverage for the job if it is not already shown on the written quote.
